Most parents who are limited on funds have a hard time finding exciting places to take their kids. Theme parks are way too expensive (Disneyland is $99 for ages 10+), State fairs are mostly summer-seasonal, and zoos can be repetitive, which leaves parents in a tough spot when their kids are asking to "go somewhere new" or "go somewhere fun"...

With multiple movements in place to help the impoverished city of Flint, Michigan, many are left wondering why Black residents are forced to cope with these sorts of extremes at all. After changing water sources from Detroit’s Lake Huron to the Flint River, residents began complaining about the taste, color and smell of their water.  What started off as a financially sound decision by the city in April 2014, resulted in public crisis.  Water samples after the switch would show significant evidence of E. Coli, trihalomethanes and lead. Later, reports surfaced indicating hundreds were suffering from rashes and symptoms linked to legionnaire’s disease...

Nearly every ethnic group in the United States has suffered from some sort of negative stereotype or portrayal in television and film. White Americans deal with “White trash” stereotypes formed from shows like Jerry Springer and Maury, then there's the  "dumb blonde" image that America is so oddly receptive of; Asian Americans stereotypes often consist of having strong inaudible accents, being martial arts experts or are nerds; Mexican American stereotypes typically consist of workers that barely speak English, being criminals, or latin lovers. But no ethnic group in the U.S. has been more negatively portrayed or effected by stereotypes in films or TV than African Americans...
